TRANSIT is a prototype. This page describes the intended design so it can be reviewed early, not a live policy.
What this build collects
If you allow it, this prototype reads browser location during planning and active journeys. It does not store account data, and the bundled dashboard figures remain sample data.
What the product will collect
Device location for the duration of an active journey only, so the verification engine can build a movement trace. Tracking is intended to start when a journey begins and stop when it ends.
Retention
The intended design keeps a fine-grained trace only as long as verification needs it, then retains the journey summary: distance, duration, transport modes and points awarded.
Sharing
Location traces are not sold. Any future reward provider would receive only what is required to issue a reward, never a movement history.
Your control
Location permission is granted by you and can be withdrawn at any time. Without it, journeys cannot be verified and no points are issued.
